1. Introduction

This Content Policy governs all user-generated content within the Zikar App, including custom azkaar names, Arabic text, group names, profile names, and any other text submitted through the App.

By using Zikar, you agree to comply with this Content Policy. Violation may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.

Zikar is built on Islamic principles of sincerity (ikhlas), brotherhood (ukhuwwah), and respect (ihtiram). Every interaction within the App should reflect these values. We expect every user to:

4.1 Blasphemous and Religiously Offensive Content

Any content that disrespects Allah, the Quran, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his Companions, or any Prophet. Any fabricated hadith attributed to the Prophet ﷺ. Content of this nature will be removed immediately and may be referred to law enforcement under the Public Order Act 1986 and applicable UK hate crime legislation.

4.2 Hateful and Discriminatory Content

Content promoting hatred, discrimination, or violence against any person or group based on religion, race, ethnicity, nationality, or other protected characteristic — prohibited under the Equality Act 2010 and Public Order Act 1986.

4.3 Harmful and Violent Content

Content inciting or glorifying violence, self-harm, or terrorism. Content threatening or intimidating other users.

4.4 Sexually Inappropriate Content

Any sexually explicit or suggestive content of any kind, including content that sexualises minors in any way (a criminal offence under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 and Protection of Children Act 1978).

4.5 Misinformation

Fabricated hadith or false religious rulings presented as authentic. Deliberate misinformation about Islamic practices or scholars.

4.6 Spam and Commercial Misuse

Unsolicited commercial messages within groups, pyramid schemes, phishing links, or fraudulent solicitations.

4.7 Privacy Violations

Sharing another person's private information without consent. Impersonating another user or public figure.

5. Group Content Rules

Group administrators are responsible for ensuring their group complies with this Content Policy. Group admins who repeatedly allow prohibited content may have their admin privileges revoked or their group permanently removed.

6. Enforcement

Violation Level Examples Consequence
Minor Inappropriate group name, first offence Warning issued. Content removed.
Repeated Minor Second or third minor violation Temporary suspension (24–72 hours).
Serious Hate speech, harassment, spam Immediate content removal. Account suspended pending review.
Severe Blasphemy, illegal content, threats Permanent ban. Referred to UK law enforcement if required.
We are legally required to refer certain content to UK authorities, including content that may constitute a criminal offence under the Online Safety Act 2023, the Public Order Act 1986, or other applicable UK legislation.

7. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content that violates this policy, please report it to support@zikar.app with the subject "Content Report". Include:

We review all reports within 48 hours. We do not reveal the identity of reporters to the reported user.

8. Appeals

If you believe content was removed or your account was suspended in error, you may appeal by emailing support@zikar.app with the subject "Content Appeal". Appeals are reviewed within 5 business days. Our decision on appeal is final.
